Due to the corrosive environment of the coast steel mesh needed to be eliminated to prevent spalling due to corrosion. The addition of Durus Macro and Fibrin XT Micro fibres meant that spalling could be prevented by removing the need for steel mesh. Construction time was saved as there was no steel mesh that needed cutting and fixing.
