To prevent the storage and fermentation of organic waste from causing spalling, the steel mesh was replaced with Durus Macro and Fibrin XT Micro fibres. This not only increases the durability of the slab but also helps prevent spalling due to corrosion. The construction time was reduced as the concrete could be poured directly into the formwork without the need for pumping.
