Extruded concrete can use both micro and macro fibres, Most macro fibre dosages are around 1kg per m3 Where macro fibre is 2.5kg per m3 but in some cases, up to 8kg of Macro fibres can be successfully extruded.
The advantage of using fibres is that the extrusion of the concrete is unhindered by steel mesh or steel bars meaning a smooth flow of concrete can be achieved. This gives the contractor peace of mind that the extrusion machines can continue moving not holding up the project
